New iTunes Remote for iPad is pretty awesome. But why can't my iPad (iPhone) be an audio source, too?

FBI warnings and unskippable previews!

Wondering if new AppleTV has Bluetooth. If it does, it would make a great game console.

Btw, hold down - key to get em dash and bullet chars on iPhone keyboard.

I shook to undo on my iPhone — intentionally this time.

I finally migrated from WordPress to Posterous.

It was super easy. Posterous has the best cross-integration with the social sites and most accessible posting.

Posterous still needs:
- full site export. - more & better themes. Think iWeb.
- perl syntax code highlighting. Check it out http://dougeverly.com/

With the new AppleTVs shipping soon, is there a decent & easy linux distro to install on the old AppleTVs via a patchstick?

FolderOrg moved to Google Code!

FolderOrg, the awesomely useful folder organizer for Mac OS X is now living at:

https://code.google.com/p/folderorg

I am still in the process of making myself at home there, but I already uploaded the FolderOrg AppleScript source file into svn.

Short FolderOrg description

FolderOrg is an AppleScript Folder Action that is organizes files and folders by moving them into dated subfolders. This is helpful in keeping files and folders organized by the day they were added, not created or modified.

I use this for my downloads folder, where I would like to keep a days downloads grouped together. It works well for drop boxes, the Documents folders, and event the Desktop folder!

Here is a picture of how it organizes my Downloads folder:

Doug Everly's Posterous

I am an Apple enthusiast.

At my day job, I use my Mac as a workflow hub to develop for and administer UNIX systems and applications.

I wrote TipSaver for iPhone. I wrote FolderOrg for Mac OS X. I added libgenders to iTerm to help me with my day job.

This blog will be mainly Apple and tech related, I hope others will find it insightful and helpful. However, I may post additional topics that interest me.
